Bathukamma is the State festival of Telangana. It is the festival of flowers. Bathukamma is prepared by colourful flowers and treated as Goddess. Generally God is worshipped by flowers. But in this festival flowers are worshipped. This festival is for 9 days. The ladies and girls play bathukamma by singing songs. Some of these songs are related to social issues. They  wear new clothes on the last day which is called ‘saddula bathukamma’. On the occasion of Bathukamma, in our school, girls prepared bathukamma with the help of women teachers and played. The villagers also participated in this.
